General information

As a diamond open access journal, NPL is published exclusively in digital form.

Our articles are free of charge for both authors and readers. They are initially published without being assigned to a specific issue. This enables us to guarantee timely publication and full citability. Assignment to an issue takes place during the digital production of the next issue.

Our publisher is the University and State Library (ULB) Darmstadt.

Our articles are published under the CC-BY licence (public domain with attribution).

To participate in the publication process, please register (if you have not already done so) in our content management system (CMS) at www.neue-politische-literatur.de/en/.

Articles written in inclusive language are very welcome.

Unsolicited submissions

In the NPL, renowned experts publish review essays on specific subject areas, essays on emerging fields of political and historical research, and detailed reviews of key works in both disciplines. These contributions are solicited by our editorial team. Unsolicited submissions are generally not published in the NPL.

However, if you are interested in contributing to the NPL, please register in our CMS, stating your main areas of research. This will allow us to specifically request you for reviews in your area of expertise.

Use of excerpts

Please note that Neue Politische Literatur adheres to the regulations proposed by the Börsenverein des deutschen Buchhandels (German Publishers and Booksellers Association) regarding the use of excerpts from book reviews. Your consent will be requested when your contribution is approved.
