Welcome to Neue Politische Literatur, one of the leading review journals in German history and political science with a tradition spanning more than seventy years. Neue Politische Literatur focuses on reviewing current research literature on modern German, European and non-European history and on theory-driven and historical political science.

From 2026 on, Neue Politische Literatur is being published by the University and State Library of Darmstadt as a diamond open access journal. Here on our website, you can access our articles and issues free of charge and find out more about the new, digital NPL.
